Our Vision
We envision a world free from Bible poverty, where every nation has access to complete and reliable Scripture in their heart language. Our mission extends beyond translation to provide high-quality Bible study resources that empower Church leaders, missionaries and translators to accurately interpret, translate and share the Gospel.
"And he said to them, 'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'"
Mark 16:15 (English Standard Version)
Problems We Address
Millions of people across the globe are suffering from Bible poverty because they lack access to part or all of the Word of God in their heart language. Outdated and poorly designed digital tools further hinder engagement with Scripture, particularly among younger generations.
The challenge is especially critical for church leaders who struggle to find affordable, high-quality Bible study resources in languages other than English. Furthermore, Bible translators face significant obstacles in producing accurate translations for minority languages, leaving many communities in spiritual darkness.
Adding to these challenges, a new and troubling trend has emerged. While there have been positive developments in the use of Artificial Intelligence to glorify God—such as in Bible translation—there is also a significant threat that must be combatted. Several AI-driven tools that appear to offer Christian guidance are based on unsound and heretical teachings. We are committed to countering the spread of false doctrines by developing tools with sound theological oversight that are grounded in Scripture. Foundational AI models like ChatGPT often reflect secular biases that misalign with Scripture, highlighting the need for AI tools that are biblically sound.
Our Solutions
At the Word For All Foundation, we believe in harnessing cutting-edge technology to bring the Bible to those who need it most. Our approach is both transformative and deeply rooted in scripture:
We support the development of advanced Bible study tools that harness the power of AI. Through our partnership with Cross Bible, we collaborate with Cohere AI, a global leader in developing advanced multilingual AI models like Aya.
Cross Bible harnesses Aya's multilingual capabilities to localize Bible study resources into the world's languages, building God's kingdom through innovative technology. And through these strategic partnerships with technology experts we are pushing the boundaries of AI's potential for multilingual evangelism, particularly in minority languages and communities that need Scripture the most. By doing so, we are not only filling the gaps in existing resources but also empowering these communities to deepen their understanding of scripture.
Aya is Cohere AI's global initiative, involving over 3,000 independent researchers across 119 countries. This state-of-art model and dataset pushes the boundaries of multilingual AI for 101 languages through open science. Learn more at cohere.com/research/aya .
Supporting Bible Translation
We recognize the importance of Bible translation in fulfilling the Great Commission. To this end, we actively support Bible translation organizations working to close the gap of languages still in need of scripture. Our support extends beyond financial assistance; we provide essential digital tools, print resources, and other critical support to mission leaders and translators worldwide.
Through collaboration with Cross Bible and Cohere AI, we accelerate Bible translation efforts, ensuring that even the most remote communities have access to God's Word in their heart language. We support multiple organizations making the Bible available to every people group on Earth. And with the generous support of our donors and partners, we provide scriptural resources to anyone who needs them for the purpose of building God's kingdom.
